HARMONY Y.C.D.P HISTORY
-
IN 2008 Harmony Youth and Community Developing Programme was established and it was before it was named Harmony Youth Club, under the leadership of Chairperson Masuku Lucas the founder of the organisation. By that time it was an organisation that only performs for events around the community and it first performed in municipal event, clinics, schools, youth and cultural ceremonies. Harmony YCDP got popular around Kwamhlanga and adapted the mind or can say an idea of hosting its own event for the community to come and enjoy the performing art.

Due to retirement of the chairperson in 2010 after 3 years of his leadership, HYCDP was taken and led by the deputy chairperson of that year. Under the leadership of the new chairperson Mgidi Lawrence the name was changed in 2010 July to Harmony Youth and Community Developing Programme from Harmony Youth Club.

Harmony Y.C.D.P is known of hosting massive events and celebrations around Kwamhlanga and surrounding areas. It brings community into order by performing art, our organisations has grown and glow a lot because it has performed in various and different occasions and it has travelled around the country. The organisation and its members has won different awards in performing art and being the best in hosting massive events.

HYCDP was started in 2008 and the primary aim is to see community and everyone a change maker through a sustainable culture of young people initiating positive, lasting change in doing so there will be economic and social cohesion.
